Gulf Bank Sponsors the Filipino Badminton Committee ?Beach Clean Up? Initiative

Kuwait ? 21 March, 2009: Gulf Bank recently sponsored the ?Beach Clean Up? initiative organised by the Filipino Badminton Committee (FBC) on 19th February, as part of its continued commitment towards social and environmental activities.

The event took place near McDonalds Corniche, where Dr. Chie Umandap, FBC Chairman, welcomed the attendees to the event and discussed the environmental importance of such an initiative. Moreover, there was several fun activities organised at Shaab Park that also included raffle draws.

In Ramadan 2009, Gulf Bank sponsored the FBC?s initiative that supports the establishment of a mobile Medical & Dental Clinic that is based in the Philippines. The clinic serves the under privileged communities in Luzon, Visays and Mindanao in cooperation with Caritas Manila, Philippine?s Medical and Dental Association.

Gulf Bank believes strongly in the importance of environmental initiatives that have a direct impact on the community. The Bank encourages organizations and individuals to take part in these eco-friendly causes, helping to increase the level of awareness amongst society.
