Kuwait, 12 October 2011 ? Gulf Bank announced today its ?Platinum? sponsorship of the ?Life is Precious? charity campaign which is organized by Roqaya Abdul Wahab Al Qatami Breast Cancer Association ?Hayatt Foundation? and ?Ghalia? club to celebrate the World Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Studies have shown that Kuwait has the highest mortality rate from breast cancer in the world, and that at least part of the reason for this is a lack of awareness and delay in detection of the disease. The celebration of the World Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes in line with the Bank?s Corporate Social Responsibility program which aims at supporting all kinds of community related causes that affect society.
The Bank will also be present at the charity gala dinner organized by Roqaya Abdul Wahab Al Qatami Breast Cancer Association ?Hayatt Foundation? and ?Ghalia? club on Wednesday 26 October 2011 to further raise awareness of the detection of the disease.
