Gulf Bank Supports “Blooming For Life” at The Avenues
Kuwait, April 16 2008 - Gulf Bank has announced its sponsorship of the ‘Blooming For Life’ indoor event, that will benefit the Kuwait Red Crescent Society at The Avenues Shopping Mall from the 15-22 April as part of its on going corporate social responsibility activities.
During this week, more than 40,000 tulips, lilies and other spring flowers in beautiful floral arrangements will change the appearance of The Avenues into one of the world’s most beautiful indoor gardens created with the goal of raising funds for the Kuwait Red Crescent Society. Flowers can be individually purchased from the Red Crescent in The Avenues and arrangements will be created under the supervision of the internationally famous floral artist Peter Boeijkens.
“This event is designed to help focus attention on the active role the Kuwait Red Crescent is currently undergoing in fundraising for the United Nations Millennium Development Goals”, said Mr. Fawzy Al Thunayan, Gulf Bank’s General Manager of Board Affairs.
Gulf Bank has established a unique connection with children in Kuwait; the Nassour bank account is designed for children until the age of 6, while the Boom account is available for children from the ages of 7 to 13.
“One of the core values of Gulf Bank’s increased commitment to corporate social responsibility is being able to aid and deliver humanitarian relief when possible, and ensuring the Bank’s vision is aligned with the needs of society with a focus and avid support in the development of children and youth,” he added.
