What is an RSS News Feed?
An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) news feed is a quick and convenient way to read the latest contents that have been added to a website. Once you have subscribed to a feed you are interested in, your news reader application will automatically show you the latest related information without requiring you to go to the website and look for it.
How can it be used?
First of all, you will need to use a browser that includes RSS support (such as Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2, or Safari 3) or use a separate news reader application (some of which are listed below). Browsers based news readers allow you to quickly and easily access the latest information through your browser whereas separate news reader applications allow you to store the news items to your computer (such as you would your email) or even on a web service like Google or Hotmail.

Once you have chosen your news reader, all you have to do is click on any RSS news feed that interests you (for example Gulf Bank Promotions & Rewards) to add it to your list of subscribed channels.

You will now see this channel name show up in your chosen news reader, and the items listed within it will automatically be updated any time there is a new related news item posted to the site.
What news reader applications are available?
There are many different news reader applications available, in addition to common internet browsers like Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7. Some common applications that you may want to try are:
