  No.  Gulf Bank's Online Banking service assures you the maximum security by utilizing VeriSign to protect all of the online interactions in an absolutely secure banking environment. Nobody else can see your account information. Only you can access it using your personal PIN and Password. It is safe and secure.

EMV

• What is an EMV chip card?
  Answer:

  An EMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa) chip card is a card issued by Gulf Bank that is embedded with an electronic chip that has enhanced security against fraud.

• How is it different from my current card?
  Answer:

  The only difference between your current card and the EMV chip card will be that your card(s) will now contain an embedded technology chip ? you will continue to have the magnetic stripe on your card.

ATMs

• What are the fees to use an ATM?
  Answer:

  As a Gulf Bank customer using a Gulf Bank ATM card at a Gulf Bank ATM machine, there are absolutely no fees. Find the nearest Gulf Bank ATM by using the branch locater search tool on our website.

• What is the daily withdrawal limit on my ATM card?
  Answer:

  You may withdraw up to KD 800 cash per day with your ATM card.

Mobile Banking

• What is the difference between SMS Banking Service and Mobile Banking?
  Answer:

  SMS Banking Service is Gulf Bank?s alert service (also known as a push message) that alerts you of any transactions on your accounts (eg: point of sale purchase, account credit, account debit, ATM withdrawals etc).  Mobile Banking on the other hand allows you to access your accounts via your smartphone to perform an array of transactions (transfers, account statement check, payments etc).

• Why do I need Mobile Banking?
  Answer:

  Mobile Banking offers a secure and convenient menu-based application that enables you to conduct your banking needs on the move directly from your smart phone.  There is no need to come to branch and queue to order cheque books; inquire about your account balance, statements, process payments, etc.

Online Banking

• Can I use Online Banking outside of Kuwait?
  Answer:

  Yes. You can use Online Banking anytime and from anywhere in the world as long as you have access to an Internet connection and an Internet browser.

• How do I sign up?
  Answer:

  Simply click on the 'Sign up' button and you below the Online Banking section on our homepage. Then enter your ATM card number, ATM PIN number, create a login name (up to 10 characters) and create an alphanumeric password of minimum 6 and maximum 8 characters to complete the sign-up process.

Two Factor Authentication

• What is 2 Factor Authentication?
  Answer:

  2 Factor Authentication (TFA, T-FA or 2FA) is an authentication process to verify your identity when you log in to Online Banking.  It?s a process that adds even more security for your online banking accounts and helps prevent fraud.  The process requires you to present two authentication factors when you log in:

  The factors are:

  • Something you know (eg: secret answers, passwords, PIN)

  • Something you have (a passport, civil ID, ATM Card)

• How can I register for this feature?
  Answer:

  All Gulf Bank Online Banking Customers will be prompted to register when they log in to Online Banking.  New online banking customers will be prompted on sign up to Online Banking.

   

  You can register by visiting our website at www.e-gulfbank.com and choosing Personal Online Banking under Login. You will need to follow the steps after entering your login name.

• How long is the discount valid for?
  Answer:

Loans

• How do I approach Gulf Bank for a Loan?
  Answer:

  • Call Telebanking at 1805 805 at any time, or

  • Apply online, or

  • Visit any of Gulf Bank's branches

• How is a secured loan different?
  Answer:

  With a secured loan, customers secure the loan with a pledge of collateral, such as a fixed deposit.  With an unsecured loan, the loan is not secured by any collateral, but requires the salary of the customer to be transferred to Gulf Bank.

Premium Savings Account

• How much money do I need to open this account?
  Answer:

  You need to deposit at least KD 10,000 when opening this account and you need to keep a balance of KD 10,000 in the account to earn interest.

• Why is this account so competitive?
