We are always committed to ensuring your online banking is as secure as possible. This is why we are introducing the Two Factor Authentication process to your login process on 2 April 2012. This additional security feature to our Online Banking will enhance your online banking experience and safeguard your security, providing you with an international security standard online banking experience and complies with Central Bank of Kuwait Regulations.
What is 2 Factor Authentication?
2 Factor Authentication (TFA, T-FA or 2FA) is an authentication process to verify your identity when you log in to Online Banking. It?s a process that adds even more security for your online banking accounts and helps prevent fraud. The process requires you to present two authentication factors when you log in:
The factors are:
Something you know (eg: secret answers, passwords, PIN)
Something you have (a passport, civil ID, ATM Card)

A Few Steps for a Secure Online Banking Experience
On 2 April there will be 3 new simple additional steps during registration/login:
1. Choose an image and set up a phrase for your image
2. Set up and answer 5 security questions
3. Register your device with Gulf Bank for additional security
Steps to follow during login
From a registered device
1. Enter your Login Name
2. Confirm the image and phrase that you set up during registration
3. Answer 1 security question correctly
4. Enter your ATM PIN
5. Enter your Password
6. Submit
From an unregistered device
1. Enter your Login Name
2. Choose the image and phrase that you set up during registration from the displayed options
3. Answer 1 security question correctly
4. Enter your ATM PIN
5. Enter your Password
6. Submit
