A day's fishing with Charles Jardine, one of the finest fishermen of his generation, is a real fly fishing education! Charles is full of enthusiasm for the sport, and his expert knowledge is bound to improve your fishing skills. Your day starts with coffee and a tackle talk and informal Q&A with Charles. Then you'll head outside for a demonstration of casting and fishing techniques. Next you'll tackle up and get a feel for the equipment you'll be using. After a short break for a cold buffet lunch, head out to the lakes. Charles and his expert team will be on hand to give you tips on best flies and tactics, covering everything from tackle innovations to casting to fly tying, with plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions. You'll be fishing lakes in a private fishery at the head of the beautiful Itchen Valley, where the waters are well stocked with rainbow and brown trout, as well as the rarer blue trout. You can also take home two of the fish you catch at the end of the day.

Participant Guidelines: No previous experience is required - novices and experienced anglers are welcome.

Weather: The type and length of fishing is subject to change without notice to suit the weather and fishing conditions.

Duration: Your experience starts at 10am and continues until around 4pm. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time.

Spectators: This experience isn't suitable for spectators.

Dress Code: Dress for the weather as you'll be outside all day. Bring waterproofs, a jacket and hat, sunglasses, sunblock, a camera and a plastic bag to take your catch home in.

Availability: Selected weekend dates throughout the season from April to October.
