Enjoy an adrenaline packed day on the water in top class Cork 1720 yachts. First you'll have tea, coffee and pastries, before getting kitted out in your yachting gear. Then it's time to head out onto the water with your skipper, who'll demonstrate the racing tactics and techniques you'll need. After a light lunch on board you'll put all your newfound skills into practice with a series of short races. You'll be up against other boats, racing round buoys at sea - a fun and exciting challenge. At the end of the day, the winning team will enjoy a race presentation.

Participant Guidelines: You must be reasonably physically fit as this is an active experience. No previous experience necessary, non-swimmers welcome and you must advise of any medical conditions.

Weather: Sailing is a weather dependent activity. Strong winds or rough seas will have an impact on the day, and in such cases the itinerary is subject to change. In the event of a cancellation, you can choose from the alternate red experiences.

Duration: Your experience begins at 9.15am and finishes at approximately 5pm. Lunch will take around an hour.

Spectators: Spectators can wave you off from the marina. They can't access the departure pontoon, but they're free to walk around the marina wall and watch the activities.

Dress Code: Dress warmly and bear in mind that it is always colder at sea and you are likely to get a little wet. Wear old, non-slip trainers and bring lip balm and sunblock. Waterproofs and all safety equipment will be provided.

Availability: Saturdays twice a month from April to October.
