Mr. Tony Daher was announced as Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Bank on 1 December 2016. Tony joined Gulf Bank in 2013 and served as Deputy CEO until his appointment as CEO.
Prior to this, he served as General Manager for Domestic Corporate Banking at National Bank of Kuwait from 2011 to 2013 and Head of the Domestic Multinational unit from 2007 to 2011. Mr. Daher also worked at National City Bank in the USA, where he held several positions in Project Finance, Structured Finance, Corporate Banking, and Capital Markets.
Mr. Daher holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He has also attended Executive Education courses given by the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Raghunandan Menon holds over 30 years of experience in global financial services. As Acting Deputy CEO in Gulf Bank, he oversees Treasury, Information Technology, Customer Service Delivery, Organizational Excellence and Corporate Services.
Having previously worked in Standard Chartered Bank London, New York, Singapore and India in a wide range of roles including Chief Risk Officer-Regions, Head of Wholesale Banking-Americas, Head of Commodity and Structured Finance- Asia, etc.
Mr. Menon was also director of Standard Chartered Plc subsidiaries such as Pembroke Group Ltd, Standard Chartered Korea Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Ltd.
He holds an MBA degree from XLRI India and is a qualified Management Accountant from ICMAI.
Kevin Smith joined Gulf Bank as Chief Financial Officer in August 2015.
Prior to that, Kevin was Chief Financial Officer for Standard Chartered's Global Consumer Bank (Singapore).
Kevin also worked in CFO roles at Tokyo Star Bank (Japan), Citibank (Japan), Novartis (Switzerland), GE Capital (Japan), and GE Capital Asia (Hong Kong).
Kevin began his career in GE's Financial Management Program, working in three GE businesses: GE Capital, NBC, and GE Information Services.
Kevin graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and a M.S. degree in Management from Purdue University's Executive program.
Mr. Farhan Mahmood is the Chief Risk Officer at Gulf Bank where he has worked since June 2014.
Mr. Mahmood has over 28 years of international banking experience in senior positions in risk management, audit and corporate banking. During his career, he has worked in the UK, Middle East, Pakistan and Africa. Prior to joining Gulf Bank, he worked for 20 years at Citigroup and at Deutsche Bank AG prior to that.
Mr. Mahmood holds a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis, USA.
Mr. Ahmad Khalid Al-Duwaisan was announced as General Manager-Corporate Banking on 5 February 2017.In his new role, Mr. Al-Duwaisan will be managing Gulf Bank’s corporate banking division,and will be supporting seniormanagement in the execution of the Bank’s long-term vision and strategy.
Mr. Al-Duwaisan has over 15-years experience in corporate bankingwith a thorough understanding of the Kuwait market. His deep financial knowledge is combined with a strong record in building and maintaining client relationships. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking and Head of Remedial and Structured Workouts for Gulf Bank.
Mr. Al-Duwaisanholds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut, and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. He has also attended executive management courses from the Harvard Business School.
Vikram Issar joined Gulf Bank as a General Manager of Consumer Banking in March 2013. Prior to joining Gulf Bank, Vikram worked with Standard Chartered Bank where he was the Chief Operating Officer, Retail Banking Segments, Products & Consumer Finance in Singapore.
He holds more than 21 years of experience in the banking field, including last 7 years spent at Standard Chartered Bank gaining experience in different Asian Markets of Singapore, Thailand and Bangladesh in senior management positions.
Vikram holds a B.Com (Honours), S.R.C.C. from Delhi University and is a Chartered Accountant from India. He has also completed a Leadership Program from Said Business School in the Oxford University, U.K..
Salma joined Gulf Bank in February 2013, as General Manager, Human Resources.
Prior to joining the Bank, she spent 12 years in the Kuwait Oil Sector in various HR positions until she took the key role at the mother company KPC for the establishment of the Center for Leadership Development as its Director where its main focus was on the development of oil sector executives in Kuwait. Prior to that Salma worked in HR at Gulf Investment Corporation for 14 years.
She brings with her many years of diversified HR experience and has been responsible for disciplines including designing programs for development, assessment, identification and succession planning in addition to being involved in numerous change management initiatives.
Salma has a BSC in Mathematics from Kuwait University and a MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.

Between June 2011 and January 2015, Nabil was Group General Counsel for Agility Public Warehousing Company K.S.C.
Between July 2007 and June 2011, Nabil was Agility’s Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel for the Middle East and North Africa.
Between 1993 and July 2007, Nabil had an extensive involvement through his law firm in Lebanon in banking and financial institutions activity. His firm is regularly retained by Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Banque Paribas, Julius Baer, Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Suisse, UBS, and other financial institutions in their transactions with banking counterparties in Lebanon and the Middle East.
Nabil has also represented the Lebanese Government and banks in material arbitration proceedings locally and before ICSID and ICC tribunals.
Nabil attended the Mission Laique Française and International College in Lebanon. He graduated with a BA and MA in Economics with distinction, and an EMBA from the American University of Beirut, and a Masters of Law with distinction from the Lebanese University.
Mona joined Gulf Bank in August 2004 as Executive Head of the Retail Banking Support Division. In June 2009, she moved to Operations Division as Deputy General Manager. In March 2014 she became the General Manager of Customer Service Delivery.
Prior to joining Gulf Bank, Mona spent 20 years in National Bank of Kuwait, working in various departments including IT, Retail and Cards and reached the level of Executive Manager of the Cards Service Division.
She brings with her many years of diversified experience in IT, Cards, Customer Service, Customer Complaints, Compliance, Retail Credit and Operations.
Mona is a Board Member at KNET since March 2013.
Mona has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Kuwait University. In addition to receiving a certificate in the Emerging Leaders Program from London Business School, London received in 2010.
Hussam joined Gulf Bank in August 2014, as General Manager and Chief Internal Auditor. Prior to joining the Bank, he had around 22 years of audit and risk management experience in Regulatory, Banking and Investment sectors starting from Central Bank of Jordan then moved to UAE and worked for top tier banks and UAE investment sovereign fund.
Through these years, Hussam had mix of extensive experience in Audit, Fraud Risk Management, IT-Audit, Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Controls, Operational Risk and BII at leading positions. Hussam is well experienced in implementing risk-based audit as per best practices.
Hussam has a BSC in Accounting from Yarmouk University in Jordan and holds multiple of audit professional certifications i.e. Certified Bank Auditor (CBA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA).
Sami Mahfouz joined Gulf Bank as General Manager Treasury in March 2018.
Before joining Gulf Bank, Sami worked for 18 years at Standard Chartered in the MENA and Pakistan region; his most recent role was Regional Head of Public Sector Coverage and prior to that he undertook a variety of Financial Markets roles in UAE, Bahrain and Lebanon, most recent being Head of Financial Markets, UAE and GCC.
Sami started his banking career with HSBC Bank Middle East in Lebanon, where he worked between 1993 and 2000 and his last role was Head of Treasury.
Sami graduated with a Master’s degree in Business management from the Holy Spirit University in Lebanon, and has completed extensive leadership and technical programs.
