Kuwait, October 17, 2006:   Gulf Bank recently held a dinner celebration to honour outstanding employees of its Corporate Banking Group.

The dinner at Tang Chao restaurant at the Holiday Inn, Salmiya, was hosted by Gulf Bank's Acting Chief General Manager, Mrs. Sana Juma.

"As a leading Kuwaiti employer, Gulf Bank has an ongoing commitment to recognizing the achievements of its staff," Mrs. Juma said. "Teamwork, performance and personal success are part of our culture at Gulf Bank and our outstanding employees are important ambassadors for these values."

Gulf Bank honours outstanding staff members through its STAR (Special Thanks And Recognition) Employee Recognition Program.

Among the employees to receive awards at the dinner were two, who received the "STAR Innovator Award" for providing creative solutions for improving Gulf Bank's processes, procedures and performance.

Seven  received the "STAR Achievement Award" for superior achievement that has had a high impact on the Corporate Banking Group's performance.

Three from Corporate Banking Group received the "STAR Performance Award" for achieving performance goals and targets.

"I would like to extend my congratulations to everyone who has received a STAR award," Sana Juma concluded. "Their achievement is a model for everyone at Gulf Bank and I look forward to presenting more STAR awards in the future."
