Head of Investment Management
Dalya Al-Qassem is Head of Investment Management Division at Gulf Bank and has 17 years of experience in equity investment, real estate, wealth management, financial analysis, and fund management. She joined the Wealth Management Department in January 2011 and helped in the establishment of the Consumer Investment Unit in 2013. Mrs. Al-Qassem co-lead the GBK team that created and launched “WISE”, the first digital investment platform in Kuwait. She is responsible for investment and financial advisories to HNW & UHNW clients by designing customized investment solutions for clients as a registered Investment Advisor & Portfolio Manager with the Capital Markets Authority in the State of Kuwait. Prior to joining Gulf Bank, she had worked in BNP Paribas for 6 years managing clients’ portfolios in the Wealth Management Department. She started her career as an analyst in the Asian Region department in Kuwait Investment Authority after completing a 1-year internship at JP Morgan in the M&A Department. Mrs. Al-Qassem holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Richmond University in London.
Rouquiah Al-Rifae is a Senior Investment Manager with more than 15 years of experience. She is responsible for providing financial advice to Private clients on a range of investment products and evaluating such products that fit the clients’ profile and financial needs. Prior to working in Gulf Bank, she was an Investment Analyst in Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and worked at Kuwait and Middle East Financial Company (KMEFIC) analyzing stocks and managing in-depth financial valuations of different companies. Mrs. Al-Rifae earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Denver, Colorado in 2003.
Ahmad Al-Fuwaires is an Investment Manager with over 13 years of experience in the financial sector who worked in investments and real estate development institutions before joining Gulf Bank in 2017. Al-Fuwaires has served as a board member in several companies and is a registered Investment Advisor Representative with the Capital Markets Authority in the State of Kuwait. Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a focus in E-Commerce and Information Systems from Seattle University.
Hanan Al-Ashwak is an Investment Manager with over 8 years of experience in the banking sector. She was a part of Gulf Bank’s development team that launched “WISE”, the first digital investment platform in Kuwait in 2016, and is responsible for providing investment advise for affluent clients. Hanan is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative with the Capital Markets Authority in the State of Kuwait, and earned her IISI certificate in the investment field. Hanan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Technology Management from Kuwait University.
Mahmoud Galal joined the Investment Management Division as a Business Development Associate, with over 8 years of experience in the international securities and investment industry. During his 5 years, he managed to introduce new investment portfolios and improve the customer experience through digital enhancement projects. Prior to joining Gulf Bank, Mahmoud spent 3 years working in Asiya Investments as an Economic Analyst. He has covered 12 countries and monitored the firm’s long-only equity fund. He also published a number of articles in key newspapers. Mahmoud graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Misr International University and has completed the CFA Investment Foundation Program.
