Gulf Bank Awarded 'Best Training Plan 2016' from the Manpower & Government Restructuring Programme

Kuwait – February 14 2017: Gulf Bank was honoured to receive the 'Best Training Plan 2016' award during the opening ceremony of the first Organizational Learning Conference organized by the Kuwaiti government's Manpower & Government Restructuring Programme (MGRP). The conference started on Sunday, 12 February 2017 and will continue until Tuesday, 14 February 2017 at the Salwa Al Sabah Hall in Kuwait.

The conference is being held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and is focused on effective training for employment and career advancement in the private sector. During the opening ceremony Gulf Bank’s efforts and its long-lasting commitment towards the training and development of Kuwaiti youth was awarded.

Underscoring the importance of the award, Mrs. Salma Al-Hajjaj, General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank said: "We are very pleased to be recognized for all the training and education initiatives we have launched, and all the efforts that we have invested in support of our youth. We are proud of our strong collaboration with MGRP in training young Kuwaiti nationals for their futures and the future of our beloved country. The award for ‘Best Training Plan 2016’ MGRP marks a significant milestone in the acknowledgement of our hard work and perseverance and most of all, the belief in the potential of our youth."

Mrs. Al-Hajjaj continued: "On behalf of Gulf Bank, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mr. Fawzi Al-Majdili, General Secretary of MGRP, Mrs. Eman Al-Ansari, Director of National Manpower Development, H.E. Mrs. Hind Al-Sabeeh, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs along with the entire staff of MGRP for their ongoing efforts on behalf of Kuwaitis. I would also like thank them for their trust in and loyalty to Gulf Bank."

Mrs Al-Hajjaj concluded by saying: "In addition, to our trainings with MGRP, Gulf Bank is proud of its Ajyal Graduate Development Program and its long-term sponsorship of INJAZ-Kuwait. All of these programs provide a path to nurture young Kuwaiti talent early in their lives and careers to prepare them for their futures. We are also proud of our Bank-wide learning and development program. We offer and facilitate a wide range of trainings programs and courses for employees of various levels and from different departments, including the staff at our branches."

The Ajyal Training Development Program targets senior university students, fresh graduates as well as employed youth with one year of experience. The program featured soft skill training courses such as writing skills and time management, personality assessments, and seminars by professionals sharing their experience specifically within the private sector as well as to guide them to choose the most suitable job to be able to excel and be creative in their future work.
