Hackathon Competition with CODED

Gulf Bank is spearheading Kuwait's digital transformation and helping to implement Kuwait's Vision 2035 by organizing and collaborating on competitions and events that will develop a local digital and tech-savvy community.

Who is it for?

• The event aims to bring together coders, designers, and innovative thinkers, including Gulf Bank employees, to compete for 11 continuous hours by building a functional prototype of a tech solution around the Hackathon theme.

• September 23 & 24, 2022

Venue

• CODED Campus (Free Trade Zone)

Team Formation

• Each team must consist of 3 - 5 participants

Participation Criteria

• Bilingual (Arabic & English)

• Designers and/or developers

• Currently in Kuwait

• Participants who have a team or are willing to work with a team

• Each team should have at least one developer

Hackathon Schedule

• Day 1 (Friday the 23rd)

  • Orientation Day + Hackathon Guidelines & Theme Unveiling (4 pm to 5 pm)
  • Team Formation (open until 11:59 pm Friday)
  • Workshops (from 5 pm)

• Day 2 (Saturday the 24th)

  • Hackathon Begins (9 am)
  • Hackathon Ends (8 pm)
  • Final Presentations + Announcing Winners (8 pm to 9 pm)

Prizes

• 1st place winners: KD1,000

• 2nd place winners: KD500

• 3rd place winners: KD250
