Gulf Bank awarded token of appreciation for sponsoring International Anti-Drug Day
Kuwait - 3 July, 2011: Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al Homoud Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Head of the National Anti-Drug Committee and in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the National Anti-Drug Committee, Dr. Rushaid Al-Ameeri , Gulf Bank was awarded a token of appreciation at an event held at the Police Officers Club on June 2th, for its sponsorship of the International Anti-Drug Day.
The ceremony was officially inaugurated by Dr. Rushaid Al-Ameeri, who was a speaker at the closing ceremony. This was followed by a speech from Dr. Ahmad Al-Samdan, the General Secretary of the National Anti-Drug Committee.

The purpose behind our commitment is to create greater awareness of the devastating impact illegal drugs have on communities. The more we can do to address the problem of drugs and help minimize addiction, the better the future will be for our children and tomorrow's generation. This is the second time Gulf Bank has participated in supporting this important cause. World Anti-Drug day is not only an encouragement for those who are battling addiction, it is also an awareness event that highlights the dangers of drugs on people's everyday health."
