Gulf Bank Concludes Cybersecurity Seminar for Bank Leadership

Kuwait 18 November 2018: Gulf Bank concluded an intensive cybersecurity workshop involving Gulf Bank’s leadership team and Board. The initiative came about as the result of Central Bank’s guidelines; ensuring banks are ahead of challenges and changes happening within the digital space that could have an impact on the banking sector and its adequate functioning.

The training saw cybersecurity expert Andrew Beckett, Managing Director and EMEA Practice Head Cyber Risk, Kroll, guide Gulf Bank’s leaders through a cybersecurity landscape journey, highlighting practical examples on how this new challenge has affected banks across the world. The emphasis of the training revolved around key steps that all banks in the digital era need to take into consideration. The steps were created to ensure that data integrity and transactions are safe and secure. The training also included regional and global case studies.

Commenting on the importance of protecting the Bank’s data and its customer’s information, Gulf Bank’s General Manager, Human Resources Ms. Salma Al Hajjaj stated, “We at Gulf Bank take Cyber Risk very seriously. This challenge is something that we are addressing effectively to ensure that our data integrity and client transaction are safe from any malicious attempts.”
