Gulf Bank Empowers Kuwaiti Youth at Annual INJAZ Kuwait Company Program Competition

Kuwait, 15 April 2019: Title sponsors Gulf Bank sponsored the ‘Best Student Company Award’ for INJAZ Kuwait’s 2019 ‘Company Program Competition’. Held at the Salwa Sabah Al-Ahmad Hall in the Marina Hotel between April 12th to 13th, 2019, the competition was attended by INJAZ Kuwait’s representatives, students, volunteers, CPC judges, parents, teachers, partners, sponsors, and supporters.

Gulf Bank hosted competiting students for a workshop session under the theme of public speaking. The workshop was designed to help prepare participants for the presentation phase of the competition, which saw 21 student companies were featured over the course of two days, with a total of 250 participating students from private and public schools and universities competing.

In addition, Gulf Bank sponsored the “Best Student Company of 2019” award, with “Meren” winning in the university category, while “Seuse" claimed the prize for the high school category. Mr. Ahmed Al Amir, Assistant General Manager for External Communication, Gulf Bank, was on hand to present the award to the winning teams, while Mr. Tareq Al Saleh, Assistant General Manager of Consumer Investments at Gulf Bank was part of the judging panel.

Commenting the ceremony Ahmed Al Amir, Assistant General Manager for External Communication, Gulf Bank congratulated the winners: “A long-time partner and supporter of INJAZ, Gulf Bank continues its investment in youth educational programs. The Gulf Bank family is committed to volunteering with INJAZ, with employees from across various department and backgrounds participating each year. Lastly, on behalf of the Bank, we are proud to participate as title sponsors and contributors to the success of the Company Program Competition.”
