Gulf Bank Partners with Local Hospitals to Encourage Annual Check-Ups

Kuwait, 15 October 2019: This October, Gulf Bank is launching a series of initiatives that will raise awareness for breast cancer in an effort to encourage locals to get checked. Gulf Bank has partnered with Mowasat Hospital and other local hospitals to provide special offers, exclusively for Gulf Bank clients, that aim to make the process of getting checked more convenient and more accessible. Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Gulf Bank is also lighting up its head office branch in Kuwait City in pink in an effort to encourage everyone to learn more about breast cancer.

In an effort to encourage people to get themselves checked, Gulf Bank has partnered Mowasat Hospital and other reputable hospitals in Kuwait to provide special offers curated for their customers. With the Mowasat Hospital Gulf Bank clients who are over 40 years of age can now receive a 50% discount on mammograms, and clients of all ages can receive a 50% discount on ultrasounds at the hospital. The Mowasat Hospital offer is valid throughout the month of October.

Commenting on this year’s breast cancer awareness initiatives, Mr. Ahmad Al Amir, Assistant General Manager for External Communications at Gulf Bank, said: “Gulf Bank is committed to supporting the local community with various CSR initiatives throughout the year. At Gulf Bank, we recognize that part of our role and duty is to create and shed light on initiatives that benefit our community. Early detection saves lives, and that is why we always encourage regular screening that could potentially save a whole family from suffering. We hope everyone takes this month to not only get themselves checked, but to also encourage their loved ones and other women to do the same.”

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign celebrated in countries across the world that highlights the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research. Breast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women worldwide, and early detection is key. Every year, Gulf Bank aims to increase awareness for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
