Gulf Bank Welcomes Its Clients Back to its Branches

Bank reopens with a 25% capacity during Phase I of the national reopening plan recently announced by the Council of Ministers

Kuwait, 02 June 2020: Gulf Bank announced the reopening of a group of its branches after the end of the total curfew period, in compliance with the phased transition plan recently announced by the Council of Ministers aimed at gradually restoring normalcy and easing restrictions put in place due to the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement was made in coordination with the Central Bank of Kuwait and the Kuwait Banking Association.

Starting Tuesday June 2, Gulf Bank’s new working hours are 9 AM to 1 PM, every day except Friday and Saturday. The Bank is currently operating at 25% capacity in 16 branches across Kuwait: Sharq (Ahmed Al Jaber Street), Salmiya (Salmiya Co-Op), Sabah Al-Salem, Jahra (Jahra Co-Op), Jahra (next to the automated bakery), Al-Zahra, Al-Riqa, Al-Ghazali, Al-Adan, Sabahiya, Al Qairawan, Al-Shaab, Bayan, Jabriya (individual customers), Adailiya (individual customers), and Gulf Bank’s Head Office (corporate customers).

Customers are also welcome to use Gulf Bank’s ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) service at the following branches: Al Salam, Al Shaab, Jabriya, Al Adan, Main Branch, Fahaheel (Al Ghanem Electronics Complex). Gulf Bank’s ITM service is available from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM.

Assistant General Manager and Head of Branch Banking at Gulf Bank, Mr. Basel Al-Assad, commented: “With the end of the total curfew period, we are pleased to welcome our clients back to our branches and provide them with all the banking services necessary to support the economy, and allow businesses to operate in an easier and smoother manner. To ensure the health and safety of both our clients and employees, we are currently operating at 25% capacity in accordance with the plan set by the Council of Ministers. During this phase, we will also be preparing to operate more branches and increase our capacity gradually in the coming stages.”

Gulf Bank is keen on applying all precautionary measures necessary across its various branches, including regular branch sanitization, measuring incoming clients’ temperatures, maintaining social distance, and wearing gloves and masks. The Bank also kindly requests its clients to also take their precautions when visiting any branches for the health and safety of everyone.
