Gulf Bank Concludes the Third Edition of the “Fekrety” Innovation Competition
Continuing Its Commitment to Encouraging Innovative and Creative Ideas Among Employees
In line with its commitment to fostering innovation and creativity, Gulf Bank has successfully concluded the third edition of its internal innovation competition, “Fekrety” 2025. The initiative aims to encourage employees across departments to voice their ideas, develop innovative solutions, and contribute directly to the Bank’s strategic direction – supporting Kuwait Vision 2035, which focuses on digital transformation, customer experience enhancement, and the adoption of smart technologies to strengthen the national economy and quality of life.
This year, the competition welcomed a wide range of innovative ideas from employees, particularly those integrating digital transformation and creativity to reimagine the interior design of Gulf Bank branches – ultimately enhancing the overall customer experience. Following a comprehensive screening and training process, the finalists presented their concepts before a judging panel of individuals from Gulf Bank’s senior management.
Gulf Bank views “Fekrety” as a platform to drive innovation under the theme "Innovation for All." The initiative encourages employees from all departments and functions to contribute bold, impactful ideas that can benefit not only the Bank but the wider banking industry.
The Bank emphasized that employees are given the freedom to present unconventional or out-of-the-box ideas, with no limitations. The Digital Transformation and Innovation Unit will continue to provide full support to participating employees by helping them refine and implement their ideas in ways that align with customer needs and aspirations – ultimately delivering innovative and accessible banking services.
The “Fekrety” innovation competition supports Gulf Bank’s broader digital transformation journey – a core driver of performance excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and employee empowerment. The Bank firmly believes that continuous innovation begins by enabling employees to turn their ideas into reality.
This initiative also reflects Gulf Bank’s strong belief in investing in its human capital, tapping into a wide range of talents and capabilities while actively supporting the development of local skills in the community.
The Bank continues to play an active role in realizing Kuwait Vision 2035 by organizing programs such as the “Datathon” and “Hackathon”, which help train the next generation in harnessing data and digital technologies to advance sustainable development and strengthen the national economy.
