A comprehensive portfolio of charitable, social, and sports initiatives
- Najla Aleisa: Our focus remains on delivering purposeful initiatives that enhance social connectivity, enable entrepreneurial growth, and foster a culture of health and well-being.
Gulf Bank has announced, on the occasion of the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan, the launch of its Ramadan program for this year under the slogan “Our Traditions Always Bring Us Together”, for the second consecutive year. The program comprises an integrated portfolio of charitable, social, and sports initiatives designed to reinforce humanitarian and social values, spread happiness, and create a positive and sustainable impact that benefits the wider community.
This program reflects Gulf Bank’s ongoing approach to driving meaningful and lasting social impact through well-designed initiatives that target various segments of society, combining direct support, community engagement, and the promotion of a positive and healthy lifestyle.
In this regard, the Chief Marketing Officer at Gulf Bank, Mrs. Najla Aeisa, stated: “Guided by our strategy to embed the principles of social sustainability, we were keen during the Holy Month of Ramadan to develop a comprehensive program that includes charitable initiatives as well as social and sports activities, supported by Gulf Bank’s volunteer team, Sawaaed Al-Khaleej.”
She added: “Each year during this blessed month, we are committed to mobilizing our available resources and contributing time, effort, and financial support to implement meaningful initiatives that embody the values of giving and revive our cherished traditions. Some activities will be organized ahead of the start of Ramadan, while many others will be implemented throughout the holy month.”
Community Giving and Support for Underprivileged Families
Gulf Bank places supporting underprivileged families at the forefront of its priorities during Ramadan, stemming from its firm belief in the importance of social solidarity and strengthening the spirit of cooperation throughout the holy month. In this context, the Bank participates in the ‘JoyLand’ initiative, which aims to distribute household essentials and Eid clothing to underprivileged families ahead of Ramadan, contributing to improving their quality of life, meeting their basic needs, and bringing joy to their hearts, particularly with the approach of Eid.
In addition, Gulf Bank implements the Ramadan Food Basket initiative in collaboration with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, the Kuwait Food Bank, and Basta, whereby Ramadan food baskets are distributed to underprivileged families prior to the holy month, as an integral part of Kuwait’s deeply rooted Ramadan traditions. This initiative seeks to provide essential food supplies and enhance the sense of security and stability among beneficiary families.
Furthermore, the Bank is collaborating with Lulu Hypermarket and one of the cooperative societies to cover the cost of the Ramadan Food Baskets (Machla) for a number of Kuwaiti shoppers, in a humanitarian gesture that reflects the values of community participation, while extending congratulations on the advent of the holy month.
Marketing Campaign and Ramadan TV Commercial
As part of its annual tradition, Gulf Bank is launching its Ramadan marketing campaign through a Ramadan television commercial titled “A Part of Me”. This humanitarian, social, and national production conveys a profound message that reflects the essence of giving during Ramadan, highlighting the importance of donating items of personal value, based on the belief that genuine giving stems from sharing what matters most with those in need.
The campaign embodies the concepts of social solidarity and the humanitarian spirit that characterizes Kuwaiti society, while also reflecting authentic Ramadan traditions and national celebrations. This reinforces Gulf Bank’s position, since its establishment, as an integral part of Kuwait’s social and national fabric.
As an extension of the awareness message conveyed by the Ramadan advertisement, the bank is organizing a special donation drive to collect clothes and essential items in collaboration with a charitable organization, in preparation for distributing them to those in need—serving as a practical and tangible application of the concept “A Part of Me.”
The bank will also donate all items used in the Ramadan advertisement to support the donation campaign, amid expectations of strong participation and engagement from various segments of society.
Enhancing Customer Value and Experience
As part of its continuous efforts to enhance customer experience and deliver added value beyond traditional banking services, Gulf Bank has launched an exclusive offer in collaboration with Abyat for Rose Gold Credit Cardholders. The offer enables customers to benefit from special discounts on selected products for a period of three days, coinciding with preparations for Ramadan and household needs, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to rewarding its customers during key occasions.
Community Engagement and Participation
In line with its commitment to community engagement and cultural awareness, Gulf Bank invites its customers to participate in the Ramadan Crescent Observation initiative and learn about the scientific and astronomical aspects related to crescent sighting through Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre.. This initiative aims to promote knowledge, link religious traditions with science, and raise awareness across different age groups.
The Bank will also organize interactive competitions across its social media platforms to reinforce Kuwaiti values, customs, and traditions, while encouraging positive engagement with purposeful content that reflects the spirit of the holy month, particularly among youth.
Supporting Entrepreneurs and Kuwaiti Businesses
As part of its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and the local economy, Gulf Bank collaborates with a number of Kuwaiti businesses and corporate banking clients through the Nuqsa Al-Khaleej initiative. This initiative aims to support small and medium enterprises, enhance their innovation and development capabilities, and empower Kuwaiti entrepreneurs with tangible growth opportunities, contributing to economic development and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among youth.
National Identity and Authentic Ramadan Traditions
Gulf Bank continues to celebrate Kuwaiti heritage and authentic Ramadan traditions by organizing the ‘Quraish’ Employees’ Gathering, which brings together the Gulf Bank family at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre. The event revives one of Kuwait’s longstanding Ramadan customs and strengthens employee bonds, while also commemorating the Bank’s 65th anniversary, reflecting its rich legacy of achievement and community service.
The Bank also places special emphasis on children through organizing Gargaian celebrations, one of the most cherished Ramadan traditions eagerly anticipated by children each year, with particular attention given to children with special needs and and those living in orphanages, with the aim of spreading joy, inclusion, and a sense of community in a festive Ramadan atmosphere.
On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, children will enjoy a special experience filled with Eid surprises and gifts, in collaboration with leading children’s gift stores.
Health and Active Lifestyle
Driven by its belief that health and wellness are fundamental components of quality of life, Gulf Bank will organize weekly running activities every Tuesday throughout Ramadan, in collaboration with professional trainers from Running Club. This initiative follows the significant success of the 11th edition of the Gulf Bank 642 Marathon and aims to encourage community members to maintain an active and balanced lifestyle during the holy month.
Concluding her remarks, Mrs. AlEisa stated: “We take pride in being the bank closest to the community, and we remain committed to fulfilling our responsibilities by organizing meaningful initiatives that strengthen social bonds, support emerging businesses, and encourage a healthy lifestyle throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.”
