As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement, Gulf Bank organized an interactive workshop titled “From Farm to Table”, as part of its sustainability workshop series aimed at raising environmental awareness and encouraging healthier and more mindful consumption habits.

The workshop was held at Al Bohaira Farm and in collaboration with chef Danna Al-Tourah. It welcomed a diverse group of Gulf Bank customers, including women, cooking enthusiasts, and individuals interested in agriculture. The session lasted approximately three hours and offered a hands-on learning experience that combined cooking with agricultural insights.

Participants learned about the value of using local and seasonal ingredients, and how supporting local farms helps reduce reliance on imported products while promoting more sustainable food choices in Kuwait. Under the guidance of Chef Danna, attendees prepared simple and fresh dishes using locally sourced ingredients, bringing the “From Farm to Table” concept to life.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of the environmental impact of food choices, encourage healthy and sustainable eating habits, support local agri-tourism, and promote everyday food practices that benefit individuals, local producers, and the wider community.

The workshop aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and Goal 13 (Climate Action).

Through this initiative, Gulf Bank continues to support practical sustainability initiatives that contribute to building a more aware and environmentally responsible community, while strengthening partnerships with local entities that share the Bank’s vision for a more sustainable future.
