Gulf Bank Participates in “Joy Land” Initiative to Support Underprivileged Families Ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan
As part of its ongoing commitment to Corporate Ssocial Responsibility (CSR) and its dedication to supporting underprivileged families in Kuwait, Gulf Bank participated in the “Joy Land” initiative under the umbrella of Nama’a Charity in cooperation with the Voluntary Work Department at the Public Authority for Youth. The initiative focuses on distributing Ramadan food baskets, essential household supplies, and Eid clothing to underprivileged families ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Gulf Bank’s participation reflects its strong humanitarian values and its continued efforts to enhance the quality of life of underprivileged families by addressing their basic needs and extending meaningful support, particularly during significant religious and social occasions. Through such initiatives, the Bank seeks to foster dignity, reassurance, and a sense of belonging among beneficiaries.
The “Joy Land” initiative aims to promote the principles of social solidarity, compassion, and shared responsibility by providing in-kind assistance to underprivileged segments of society. This support helps alleviate daily pressures during Ramadan and enables families to prepare for Eid in an atmosphere of stability, comfort, and hope.
Gulf Bank affirmed that its participation in this initiative forms part of a comprehensive annual program of community engagement implemented before and throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. These efforts are rooted in the Bank’s belief in the value of strategic partnerships and their role in advancing sustainable development and strengthening social cohesion. The program encompasses a diverse range of charitable, social, and sports initiatives designed to reinforce humanitarian values and deliver lasting positive impact.
The distribution activities were carried out by the Sawaed AlKhaleej volunteer team, comprising Gulf Bank employees who actively participate in the Bank’s social and charitable initiatives, reflecting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility.
