Gulf Bank has expanded its strategic partnership with Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) to include sponsorship of the university’s Management Club, alongside its existing support for the Engineering Club. The collaboration reinforces the Bank’s commitment to empowering students and helping them develop the skills, confidence and professional connections they need for their future careers.
Through the partnership, Gulf Bank will support student-led activities throughout the academic year, including seminars, workshops, discussions and interactive events. These initiatives will provide opportunities for students to strengthen their leadership, management and entrepreneurial skills, engage with business professionals and gain a better understanding of the workplace.
Commenting on the agreement, Najla Aleisa, Chief Marketing Officer at Gulf Bank, said: “Our strategic partnership with GUST is built on a shared commitment to students and their future. Since the university’s establishment, Gulf Bank has supported initiatives that enrich the student experience and help young people connect what they learn in the classroom with the opportunities and challenges they will encounter in their careers.”
Aleisa congratulated GUST’s management and students on ranking first in Kuwait in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, recognising the university’s commitment to academic quality, research and institutional excellence.
She added: “Student clubs give young people valuable opportunities to take initiative, work as a team and put their ideas into practice. Building on our successful collaboration with the Engineering Club, we are pleased to extend our support to the Management Club and help more students develop their capabilities, learn from industry professionals and explore their ambitions.”
“Investing in young people is an investment in Kuwait’s future,” Aleisa continued. “Through our partnership with GUST, we want to create meaningful learning experiences that help students grow into confident professionals, entrepreneurs and leaders who contribute to their communities and the country’s development.”
The expanded partnership forms part of Gulf Bank’s sustainability and social responsibility strategy, which prioritises education, youth empowerment, innovation and entrepreneurship. By working closely with educational institutions, the Bank helps connect academic learning with practical experience, strengthening students’ readiness for professional life.
Alongside career readiness, Gulf Bank supports young people in developing greater financial confidence. Through its support for the Diraya financial awareness campaign, the Bank encourages students to build sound financial habits, understand banking products and services, and make informed decisions. Complementing these efforts, Gulf Bank’s red student packages offer banking solutions tailored to students’ needs and lifestyles, supporting them as they take their first steps towards financial independence.
The Bank’s commitment to youth development also extends to its longstanding partnership with INJAZ Kuwait, spanning more than 20 years, through which it continues to help young people develop essential skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
Members of GUST’s Management Club welcomed the partnership, noting that Gulf Bank’s support will enrich the student experience and broaden career perspectives by creating more opportunities to learn from and connect with professionals in business and management.
Established in 2013, the Management Club helps students develop their management skills through engagement with industry experts, business leaders and entrepreneurs. Its activities encourage professional networking, innovation and entrepreneurship across the university community.
